Irish Arists Jean Lowndes’ paintings are influenced by her love of nature. Inspired by her childhood growing up on a farm in North Co. Dublin.
Jean uses strong vivid primary colours and palette knife in oils, applying a thick impasto technique which creates mood and atmosphere

Jean is renowned for her paintings of the sea. A love of the sea inspires Jean’s coastal scenes with little yachts, harbours and lighthouses. Along with the fun “Let’s Celebrate” collection of colourful balloons, Jean’s work also includes woodland, trees, poppies showing her love of nature. Her work “The Farm”, was inspired by memories of the animals of her childhood growing up on the farm.

Jean Lowndes is a regular exhibitor in Dublin at Arts Source RDS, House RDS, Gifted RDS and Merrion Square Art and Kilkenny Arts Week.

Jean’s work has been showcased on TV3’s Show House Showdown episode 5, 2017 with Anne-Marie Hamill of Hamilton Interiors. The Episode can be watched on the Virgin Media Player. Collectors and celebrity buyers include John Boyne Author and Gina London.
